Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced leader to oversee and evolve enterprise-wide payment services operations and strategy for a growing financial institution. This role will provide strategic direction across the organization's payment ecosystem, including card services, ACH, wire transfers, ATM operations, and emerging digital payment capabilities. The ideal candidate will drive innovation, operational excellence, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring payment solutions remain secure, scalable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals and customer experience initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the long-term strategy and roadmap for payment services and payment innovation initiatives Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align payment initiatives with enterprise priorities and digital transformation goals Evaluate industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor partnerships to support future growth and modernization efforts Oversee payment operations, including card services, ACH, wire transfers, ATM services, and related payment platforms Establish governance, performance metrics, and operational standards to ensure service excellence and scalability Lead vendor and payment network relationships, including contract oversight and strategic partnership management Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry requirements related to payment processing, fraud prevention, BSA/AML, OFAC, and operational risk Direct enterprise payment risk strategies, including fraud controls, monitoring frameworks, audit readiness, and issue resolution processes Monitor operational performance through KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability, innovation, and collaboration Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for payment services functions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field required 10+ years of progressive experience in payment services within a financial institution or financial services environment 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams and enterprise initiatives Strong knowledge of payment operations, payment networks, and applicable regulatory requirements Experience modernizing payment systems or implementing digital-first payment solutions preferred Familiarity with real-time payments, tokenization, ISO 20022, and API-driven payment architecture is a plus Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization Additional Information This position may require occasional travel Availability to respond to critical payment system interruptions or escalations outside standard business hours may be required The organization offers a collaborative and mission-driven environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service Compensation & Benefits Base salary $150,000 - $185,000 based on experience Annual bonus eligibility based on performance Comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and additional perks Why choose Addison Group?
