Job Description

Accounting Manager A growing and well-established banking organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This role will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance while managing and mentoring accounting staff. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge and experience within the banking or financial services industry. Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules Ensure compliance with GAAP and banking regulatory requirements Assist with preparation of call reports and other regulatory filings Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and development support Coordinate with external auditors and assist with annual audit activities Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams Assist with system implementations, automation initiatives, and special projects Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA preferred 5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership experience Banking, financial services, or public accounting experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Experience with regulatory reporting and bank reconciliations preferred Proficiency in Excel and accounting/reporting systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment EB-1019027154
