Job Description

AVP or Director ERM Actuary Greenwich, CT (On-site) A leading property and casualty organization is seeking an experienced ERM Actuary to join its corporate risk team at the AVP or Director level. This is a high visibility role partnering closely with senior leadership and business units to assess risk, drive enterprise insights, and support long term capital optimization. This position blends deep technical analysis with strategic impact, focusing on casualty and professional liability exposures, group level reporting, and emerging risk evaluation. Ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of complex projects and communicating insights to executive audiences. Key Responsibilities Lead enterprise casualty and professional liability accumulation analytics including data pipeline development and visualization Partner with business leaders to validate assumptions and translate findings into actionable insights Model complex reinsurance structures and support risk transfer strategies Drive risk assessment processes across domestic and international business units Prepare and present ERM reporting to senior leadership, regulators, and rating agencies Research emerging risks including cyber, climate, and artificial intelligence and assess their business impact Support scenario development and stress testing for tail risk events Qualifications 5 plus years of experience in casualty or professional liability insurance or reinsurance ACAS or FCAS preferred Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate results into business impact Excellent communication skills and experience engaging with senior stakeholders Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast paced environment Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data tools and automation concepts This is an excellent opportunity to step into a visible leadership role within ERM, working on impactful initiatives that shape enterprise level decision making.
