Job Description
Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Or client, a well know national corporation, is looking for a Director of FP&A to partner closely with the President, CFO and leadership team. In this role, you'll lead financial planning, forecasting, and modeling efforts that help guide business decisions and support growth. This is a highly visible role where your insights will directly influence strategy and performance across the organization. You must be able to tell a story, not simply report numbers. What You'll Do Lead Financial Planning Own the budgeting and forecasting process, including long-range planning. You'll help leadership understand trends, risks, and opportunities so they can make informed decisions. Drive Insights & Analysis Take a deep dive into financial performance to identify what's working and what's not. You'll analyze many avenues, then turn those insights into actionable recommendations. Support Decision-Making Build and run scenario models to evaluate different business strategies. You'll present clear, data-backed recommendations to senior leadership. Partner Across the Business Work closely with teams across the organization to support planning and decision-making. You'll act as a trusted advisor and help bring financial clarity to operational strategies. Communicate Clearly Create presentations and dashboards that tell a clear financial story. Your ability to simplify complex information will be key. Improve Processes Look for ways to make financial systems and processes more efficient and effective. You'll lead initiatives that strengthen how the organization plans and manages performance. What We're Looking For 7+ years of experience in FP&A or a related field, ideally in a complex or fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling Solid understanding of financial statements and core accounting concepts (GAAP) Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision-making Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and opportunities Advanced Excel, Tableau and/or Power BI skills Comfortable building presentations and communicating insights to executives A mindset focused on continuous improvement and problem-solving How You Work You're curious and always looking to tell a story You're data-driven and results-oriented You're comfortable navigating complex and sometimes ambiguous situations You value different perspectives and collaborate effectively across teams
