Job Description

Scope of Position The Revenue Cycle Manager will be responsible for ensuring that goals and objectives of the RCM team are properly defined and clearly established.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manages a staff of up to 15 Reimbursement Specialists, holding them accountable to productivity and accuracy benchmarks
  • Ensures that department activities are managed pursuant to the Polices & Procedures Manual
  • Reports benchmarking metrics for all functional areas of department
  • Compiles, analyzes, and prepares various status reports for senior management review in order to identify trends and make recommendations
  • Conducts annual review of Policies and Procedures manual with Sr. RCM Manager to ensure up-to-date RCM practices are being achieved
  • Maintains up-to-date expertise and knowledge of Physician Healthcare billing and related laws and regulations
  • Provides provider coding audits on an as needed basis
  • Provides coding education and training to providers on an as needed basis
  • Works with Sr. RCM Manager to establish baseline benchmarks for department functions and department staff member productivity
  • Handles escalation of complex patient and/or Physician requests and/or complaints
  • Performs Annual employee reviews of direct reports
  • Performs other related duties as required
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Physician Healthcare billing. Practice Management experience a plus.
  • Excellent working knowledge of computers; ability to use Microsoft Office package, specifically Excel. Experience using Crystal Reports, Business Intelligence applications (Precision BI a plus), Practice management applications (Allscripts Ntierprise a plus)
  • Broad understanding of Medical billing and RCM operations
  • Proficient in
CPT/ICD-10
Coding and Billing
  • Positively motivates team and individuals, with the ability to lead others towards objectives and goals
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
