Holy Family is seeking a Finance Manager to lead their Finance team.
Position Overview:
The Holy Family Finance Manager is a well-versed finance leader and analytical thinker with excellent organizational skills and a drive for results. As a critical part of the Holy Family Finance Office, the Finance Manager reports to the Executive Director of Holy Family. The position will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director and working alongside other Holy Family Finance Office team members in carrying out the financial and administrative related responsibilities of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day accounting functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and cash flow management Review, approve, and submit bi-weekly payroll Prepare all financial reports - including monthly, annual, and budgeted financial statements Prepare financial reports for grant/contract requirements Develop annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts Conduct month-end closing process including financial statement preparation, monitor actual results against budget, and provide variance analysis Prepare weekly cash flow activity reports Ensure the complete, accurate and timely recording of journal entries Reconcile balance sheet accounts Evaluate current processes and internal controls and recommend improvements Coordinate external auditors, and serve as the primary liaison with them Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Supervise and mentor personnel within the Finance Department Assume additional managerial duties as appropriate to the position Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance is required. Prior nonprofit finance experience with a successful track record in a Senior Financial Management role leading a team for at least 8+ years is essential. Strong understanding of GAAP, particularly for non-profits. Technology savvy with the ability to manage data for financial reporting quickly and effectively Proficiency in NetSuite Oracle required, familiarity with AccuFund a plus. Aptitude with leveraging AI tools into the daily workflow a plus Advanced Excel skills including macros (VBA), linking cells/tabs within the same workbook and how to link cells between different workbooks, naming cells for linking to other tab/workbooks, creating and managing functions (Fx) such as Vlookups, double Vlookups, If, then, else functions, concatenate, etc. Knowledge of CSV files and how they work, and converting them to Excel files. Knowledge of how to download/upload files between different financial systems. Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook) and an aptitude for learning new software required. Extreme flexibility with a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate multiple priorities. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, manage a variety of tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent written and oral communications skills; must be able to communicate ideas and issues effectively and concisely to all levels within the organization. Must be able to work flexible hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary
