Job Description
HHM Talent is assisting a client searching for an Accounting Manager in Washington, DC. Position Overview The Accounting Manager will oversee the full accounting cycle while owning dashboards, reporting, and troubleshooting within Sage Intacct. This person will play a key role in managing accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, following up on invoices, and helping bring more of the company's accounting and finance function in-house. Key Responsibilities Own and manage accounting dashboards, reports, and troubleshooting within Sage Intacct Oversee the full cycle of accounting, including month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and financial accuracy Manage accounting systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy Follow up on invoices and support billing and collections processes Support financial reporting across multiple departments and client structures Assist with owner distributions and higher-level accounting work as the company transitions more functions in-house Review financial data to identify issues, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement Work closely with leadership to support financial visibility and decision-making Handle a high volume of accounting activity in a fast-paced environment Support the long-term buildout of the internal accounting team as the company grows Qualifications Strong full-cycle accounting experience Must have experience with Sage Intacct Experience creating, owning, or troubleshooting dashboards and financial reports Strong understanding of accounting systems, processes, and internal workflows Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong follow up skills, especially related to invoices, reporting, and financial deadlines Comfortable being hands-on with day-to-day accounting responsibilities Self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions and solve problems independently Experience working with complex financial structures, multiple departments, or partner-owned businesses preferred Experience with healthcare, education, nonprofit, or client based industries is a plus Benefits Compensation range of $95,000 - $110,000 , with flexibility depending on experience Opportunity to help build and improve the internal accounting function Growth potential into a Controller-level role Hands-on exposure to complex accounting operations
