at State of Delaware in Dover, Delaware, United States Job Description The Fiscal Advisor V position within the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) provides financial services supporting multiple OMB sections, including the Lieutenant Governor's Office and the Office of the Governor. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Grants Management, Statewide Billing, Project Costing, and Payroll. The position ensures full adherence to all relevant State and Federal policies and procedures, Delaware Code, and OMB-specific guidelines. JOB REQUIREMENTS
for Fiscal Advisor V Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Four years' experience in compiling, analyzing and reporting on financial data to ensure effective and efficient accounting of funds or to make projections for financial planning. Two years' experience in analyzing financial problems, developing alternatives, recommending and advising management on solutions. Coursework, training and/or work experience in budget management and control such as managing a budget for the purpose of keeping expenditures within the limitations of available appropriations and available revenue and maintaining, monitoring, projecting and controlling a budget within set policies and procedures. Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
