THE HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE
Where Talent Meets Opportunity Director of Revenue Cycle Services Pacific NW Region A progressive, community-focused healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Services to lead and optimize the full continuum of revenue cycle operations. This is a highly visible, executive-facing leadership role reporting to the CFO, offering the opportunity to drive strategy, enhance financial performance, and build sustainable processes across the organization. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role where you can shape the future of the revenue cycle, influence strategic decisions, and make a meaningful difference in both financial performance and patient experience. Position Highlights Executive-facing role with direct interaction with Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) Oversight of the full revenue cycle, including Patient Access, HIM, and Patient Financial Services Leadership of 3 direct reports and ~ 65 indirect FTEs Fully integrated, in-house revenue cycle operations (no outsourced billing or coding) Opportunity to shape reporting, forecasting, and process improvement at a system level What You Will Do Provide strategic and operational leadership across all revenue cycle functions, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals Develop and implement clear, actionable reporting mechanisms to keep executive leadership informed of revenue cycle performance and risks Analyze trends in adjustments, denials, and reimbursement to identify root causes and reduce avoidable revenue loss Lead efforts to strengthen revenue integrity, charge capture, and coding/billing compliance across departments Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as A/R days (currently ~50-55), denials, and collections Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to understand the financial impact of new service lines, including upcoming program expansions What We are Looking For Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field ~ required Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field ~ preferred Previous Critical Access Hospital experience ~ required 10+ years experience in Patient Financial Services, HIM, Revenue Integrity, or Patient Access Services ~ required 5+ years of prior experience in a management role ~ required Lifestyle & Community Enjoy a lifestyle that blends natural beauty, coastal charm, and a true sense of community.
