This pivotal role involves overseeing a broad spectrum of accounting functions, including financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls, to support the organization's strategic objectives. As an Accounting Manager, you will mentor team members, foster a culture of accuracy and accountability, and contribute to the organization's financial health through expert analysis and management. The ideal candidate will come out of banking environment, experienced senior accountants are encouraged to apply!
Specific Job Functions:
Performing a variety of accounting and financial control functions in conformance with established bank strategies, policies, and procedures. Supervision and development of multiple direct reports. Overseeing general ledger accounting, fixed assets, and accounts payables. Preparing reports for senior management and Board of Directors. Responsible for all general ledger maintenance including opening new accounts, updating custom reports, and maintaining interfaces. Responsible for monthly and year-end close. Responsible for Allowance for Credit Losses (CECL) process. Responsible for preparing various schedules for the Call Report. Responsible for the accounting for certain operating companies under the Holding Company. Preparing, reviewing, and approving general ledger account entries and month end reconciliations. Preparing and reviewing of regulatory reporting. Liaison to internal and external auditors including preparation of annual audited financials. Preparing quarterly and year-end tax accrual analysis. Assisting with system conversions. Assisting with the documentation of procedures and policies within the accounting department. Assisting with preparing certain budget items including operating expenses and other income. Creating or modifying internal controls and related policies/procedures and quarterly testing of the operating effectiveness of department's key internal controls. All other reasonable duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferred. Two or more years of related experience in an accounting position. Knowledge of various financial accounting systems and software applications. Problem solving and reasoning skills are essential. Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers. Good communication and organizational skills.
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $1,350,000.00 per year
