• Commercial Properties , to oversee the fiscal health and operational reporting of a diverse real estate portfolio for our client.

Must have commercial property accounting experience. This is not a traditional, data-entry-heavy accounting role; the day-to-day accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions are managed by third-party property managers. The ideal candidate brings a sophisticated hybrid of technical accounting expertise and asset management judgment to provide critical oversight, advanced analysis, and polished reporting directly to lenders, investors, and executive leadership. Primary Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for commercial real estate assets. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes. Supervise general ledger activity, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries. Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Manage CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and expense recoveries. Interpret and apply commercial lease terms, including NNN and reimbursement structures Coordinate annual budgets and assist with forecasting and variance analysis. Work closely with property managers, ownership, lenders, and external accountants Support audits, refinancing efforts, and lender reporting requirements Assist in improving accounting systems, internal controls, and operational efficiencies Oversee third-party property management accounting and reporting where applicable. Mentor and support accounting staff as the company continues to grow. Maintain a deep, "big-picture" understanding of each asset's financial and operational performance to provide proactive insights to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications Education:

Experience:

5+ years of experience in Real Estate Portfolio Accounting, Asset Management, or a similar oversight capacity.

Technical Skills:

Advanced proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio) and Excel.

Industry Knowledge:

Deep understanding of CAM reconciliations, lender reporting requirements, and real estate financial modeling.

Pay:

$103,000.00
