Job Description:
The Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational performance of TDN's end-to-end revenue cycle. This includes all functions related to billing, collections, charge capture, revenue integrity, health information management (as it relates to coding and billing), patient financial services, and regulatory compliance. This role leads the development and execution of revenue cycle strategy to optimize financial performance, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance across all payer types. The VP, RCM partners closely with senior leadership to align revenue cycle operations with organizational goals and drive sustainable revenue growth. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Execution Define and execute the organization's revenue cycle strategy in partnership with senior leadership. Drive initiatives that improve revenue capture, reimbursement, and overall financial performance. Lead cross-functional efforts to implement new revenue-generating and efficiency-focused initiatives. Operations & Performance Management Oversee all revenue cycle functions, ensuring accurate, timely billing and collections across all services. Establish, monitor, and report on key performance metrics to ensure transparency and accountability. Drive continuous process improvement and quality enhancement initiatives tied to measurable outcomes. Ensure all revenue cycle operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Payer Relations & Contracting Develop and maintain strong relationships with payer organizations and external partners. Lead payer contracting strategy to optimize reimbursement and patient access. Ensure contracts are aligned with organizational financial goals and revenue optimization efforts. Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop revenue cycle staff, fostering a high-performance, accountable culture. Assess team capabilities and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. Ensure teams are equipped to meet current demands and adapt to evolving industry changes. Promote an environment aligned with TDN's core values and service excellence standards. Communication & Collaboration Serve as a key liaison across departments to ensure alignment and effective revenue cycle performance. Communicate performance expectations, strategic priorities, and results clearly across all levels. Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to support organizational objectives. Governance & Compliance Develop, implement, and enforce revenue cycle policies and procedures across the organization. Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to billing, coding, and collections. Maintain oversight of compliance-related activities in coordination with internal compliance teams. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in dental revenue cycle management, including complex dental health systems. At least 5 years of leadership experience in a high-growth or dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MHA, or MPH preferred. Deep expertise in payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, and revenue optimization. Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, payer requirements, and collections practices. Experience with both physician practice and hospital revenue cycle operations preferred. Proven ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, and drive organizational results. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building capabilities. Demonstrated success in performance improvement, project management, and operational execution. Active participation in relevant professional organizations preferred.
