This leader will be responsible for operational execution, staff accountability, revenue optimization, workflow management, and maintaining an exceptional patient experience while supporting medical, surgical, cosmetic, and wellness services. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, solutions-focused, and comfortable driving accountability and change. Primary Responsibilities Practice Operations & Leadership Lead daily practice operations and workflow optimization across front office, clinical support staff, and provider workflows Manage staffing schedules, onboarding, training, accountability, coaching, and performance management Ensure operational coverage and workflow efficiency across practice locations as needed Develop, maintain, and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems Lead regular team communication, accountability initiatives, and workflow improvement efforts Partner with leadership on strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational priorities Revenue Cycle Management & Financial Oversight Oversee revenue cycle operations including claims management, collections, denials, payment workflows, reimbursement optimization, and accounts receivable oversight Scrub claims prior to submission and actively manage denial, rejection, hold, and aging claim work queues Collaborate with billing vendors, insurance carriers, and RCM partners to improve collections and reimbursement outcomes Monitor provider schedules and optimize patient volume utilization and scheduling efficiency Prepare and analyze operational, financial, productivity, and revenue reports Support budgeting, forecasting, inventory controls, and financial initiatives Patient Experience & Access Oversee scheduling workflows, eligibility verification, authorizations, reminders, and patient access initiatives Manage patient complaints, service recovery efforts, and escalation processes Monitor patient satisfaction initiatives and online reputation management Support patient acquisition, retention, referral relationships, outreach initiatives, and community engagement efforts Staff Leadership & Team Development Supervise administrative staff, front office personnel, and clinical support teams Facilitate onboarding, education, performance management, and staff development initiatives Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and service excellence Support employee engagement and retention initiatives Compliance, Credentialing & Administrative Oversight Oversee credentialing, CAQH maintenance, payer enrollment, licensing support, and provider documentation requirements Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, billing regulations, payer requirements, and practice policies Ensure effective and compliant utilization of Modernizing Medicine (EMA) and practice systems Coordinate vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, facility needs, and IT support Performance Expectations & Success in this role will be measured by: Improved accounts receivable and collection performance Reduced claim denials and reimbursement delays Optimized provider scheduling and reduced appointment gaps Strong staff accountability and operational consistency Improved patient satisfaction and service recovery outcomes Timely completion of credentialing, compliance, and operational initiatives Achievement of growth and operational goals
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3+ years dermatology practice management experience Minimum 2+ years direct dermatology billing and coding experience Direct hands-on experience using Modernizing Medicine (EMA) required Strong understanding of medical, surgical, cosmetic, and wellness dermatology workflows Revenue cycle management experience required Experience leading staff within a physician practice environment Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Reliable transportation and ability to support multiple practice locations as needed
Preferred :
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field Multi-site management experience Experience with aesthetics, cash-pay services, and growth initiatives Experience with KPI reports and analytics
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$65,000-$75,000 annually based on experience, dermatology expertise, billing knowledge, and demonstrated leadership performance.
