This role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with the leadership of our showroom environment, ensuring accurate financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and an engaging customer experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong foundation in various accounting software and financial concepts. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management. Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processing, and manage payroll functions with precision. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and governmental accounting standards through diligent account analysis and financial report writing. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure financial accuracy. Oversee showroom operations by managing inventory displays, coordinating customer interactions, and ensuring a welcoming environment. Handle administrative tasks such as 10 key typing for data entry, processing tax-related documentation, and supporting budgeting activities. Assist with account reconciliation processes including accounts payable/receivable and bank statements to maintain financial integrity. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with Quicken is a plus. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis. Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and non-profit or corporate accounting practices. Experience with payroll processing, tax preparation support, and governmental reporting requirements. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews accurately. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently Effective communicator with the ability to write clear financial reports and support budgeting processes confidently.
