Role Summary The Intersect Group is seeking a Tax Director, Family Office Services to lead complex tax compliance, planning, and advisory work for high?net?worth families. This role ensures the accuracy of multistate individual, trust, partnership, gift, and corporate tax filings while delivering proactive planning strategies throughout the year. You will manage client relationships, oversee quarterly and annual financial reviews, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver a comprehensive family office service model. This position also plays a key leadership role in mentoring staff, supporting business development, and contributing to firm?wide innovation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Review and sign individual, trust, gift, partnership, and corporate multistate tax returns for accuracy and timely filing
  • Lead quarterly and year?end tax projections and communicate planning strategies directly to clients
  • Manage and grow large, complex client relationships with minimal oversight
  • Conduct analytical reviews of quarterly financial reports to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor cash needs in coordination with accounting and investment teams
  • Collaborate with internal departments to prepare and present deliverables at quarterly family meetings
  • Train, mentor, and develop family office team members
  • Participate in business development efforts and support new client onboarding
  • Provide guidance on estate planning, philanthropy, entity structuring, and other family office initiatives Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; Master of Taxation preferred
  • 10 or more years of public accounting experience serving high?net?worth families or family office clients
  • CPA required; CFP designation desirable
  • Extensive experience reviewing and filing complex multistate tax returns
  • Strong communication, project management, and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to lead client relationships and deliver comprehensive advisory services
  • Ability to work collaboratively across advisory, tax, accounting, and wealth planning teams
Compensation:
$180k-$187k + Bonuses + Potential for
