Job Description:
Accountants One is working with a manufacturing company in the NW metro Atlanta area to hire an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager is responsible for supporting plant operations through financial planning and analysis, accounting oversight, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination. This Accounting Manager will work closely with leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational efficiency, and compliance with internal and external requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform analytical reviews of general ledger accounts and investigate variances against budget and historical performance Prepare account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and subsidiary ledgers Support the month-end and year-end close processes Assist with internal, external, financial, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits Coordinate audit activities and prepare requested work papers and reconciliations Prepare monthly cash flow reporting and executive financial presentations Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis Assist in developing and improving accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, disposals, and IFRS 16 lease accounting Participate in M&A activities and special projects as needed Serve as backup support for other finance department functions Maintain awareness of company recycling guidelines and environmental management policies Qualifications & Skills 5-10 years of Accounting experience Experience in the manufacturing industry a must Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Close attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing demands Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Experience with financial reporting, audits, compliance, and internal controls Proficiency in account reconciliations, budgeting, and financial analysis Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude 18522
