Full Job Description Accounting Manager Introduction:
The Cedar Rapids Ball Club, Inc., a minor league baseball organization consisting of the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Waterloo Bucks and Kernels Concessions is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This position performs a variety of fiscal duties and is responsible for accurate bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide accounting support during Cedar Rapids Kernels games. (Some nights, holidays and weekends required.)
  • Perform all accounts receivable functions (invoicing, payment postings and collections).
  • Ensure accurate coding and posting of payables, payroll, and receivables.
  • Maintain all supporting spreadsheets and ledgers.
  • Responsible for the creation of accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Performs multiple bank and account reconciliations.
Qualifications:
  • Possess excellent Financial Aptitude, Analytical Skills, Problem-Solving and Leadership.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work some nights, holidays and weekends during the baseball season.
  • Possess effective computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook and QuickBooks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting recommended but not required. Prior accounting/finance experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of Accounting/Finance leadership.
