•4.2 Downers Grove, IL Job Details $65,000•$95,000 a year 16 hours ago Qualifications Managing customer accounts Accounts receivable management Customer relationship management Medical accounts receivable management Account management Medical claim denial management Full Job Description Overview The Revenue Cycle Manager (RCM) serves as the primary client-facing owner of revenue cycle performance for assigned healthcare provider clients. This is not a traditional billing role. This position functions as a client-facing revenue operator and advisor, responsible for managing financial performance, identifying revenue opportunities, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement across the full revenue cycle. The RCM acts as the bridge between clients and internal offshore operations teams, ensuring that performance expectations are met, issues are resolved efficiently, and clients receive clear, data-driven insights into their revenue cycle. Responsibilities Client Ownership & Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients Build strong, trust-based relationships with physicians, administrators, and stakeholders Manage day-to-day communication, escalations, and client expectations Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and engagement Revenue Performance Ownership (Critical) Own client KPIs, including: Days in A/R Net Collection Rate Denial Rate Clean Claims Rate Monitor performance and proactively identify risks or underperformance Develop and drive action plans to improve financial outcomes Ensure clients are meeting contractual and operational expectations Business Intelligence & Performance Insights Analyze revenue cycle data and identify: denial trends underpayments payer issues operational inefficiencies Translate data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations Present performance trends and improvement plans to clients Move beyond reporting focus on diagnosis and solutioning Denial Management & Revenue Optimization Lead root cause analysis of denials and payment delays Work with internal teams to implement corrective actions Develop strategies to: reduce future denials improve reimbursement accuracy accelerate collections Identify opportunities to recover lost or underpaid revenue Offshore Team Coordination & Execution Oversight Coordinate with offshore billing and operations teams to ensure: tasks are completed accurately and on time workflows are followed KPIs are being met Provide clear direction, priorities, and feedback to offshore teams Ensure alignment between client expectations and internal execution Client Reporting & Executive Communication Prepare and present: monthly performance reports, KPI dashboards, revenue insights Lead client meetings (monthly and quarterly reviews) Communicate complex financial and operational data in a clear, structured way Build credibility as a trusted advisor to clients Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with: Billing & AR teams, Coding, Credentialing, Sales & Customer Success Act as the internal advocate for client needs Ensure internal teams are aligned with client goals Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization Identify inefficiencies across workflows and processes Recommend and implement improvements Support standardization and scalability across clients Contribute to overall improvement of RCM delivery model Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management 3+ years in a client-facing or account management role Experience working in a third-party billing company or multi-client environmen t.
Strong understanding of:
End-to-end RCM lifecycle Payer systems and processes Denial management and AR workflows Preferred Qualifications Experience managing multiple clients or provider groups simultaneously Experience working with offshore or distributed teams Exposure to multiple specialties (medical, dental, behavioral health, etc.) Experience presenting to physicians or executive stakeholders
