Financial Aid Manager (CS26-248) To build on a strong foundation of achievement and contribute to the realization of its ambitious institutional goals, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Financial Aid Manager (CS26-248) . What You Will Do This role directly supports the Student Financial Aid client services team as support for both standard day-to-day operations and in providing crucial information to leadership to make strategic decisions. The employee in this role will spend some time each day working directly with students and providing them with expert advising and guidance on financial aid opportunities. This role will also manage discrete Client Services processes like Consortium Agreements, Study Abroad aid requests, and Short Term loans. Additionally this role will assist the Assistant Director in managing daily scheduling, outreach, and will directly supervise student employees assigned to the Client Services team. In addition to those critical tasks, this role will also serve as a data steward for client services productivity, and will assist in tracking client services document processing to ensure client services processing are efficient and effective. This role will provide insight into the efficacy of current client services policies and procedures and recommend changes to policies or training as needed to the Assistant Director.

- Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories: College coursework in any discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months) Work experience managing office, business, or customer service/relations activities.
- Two (2) years (24 months) of higher education, student services, or closely related experience.
- One (1) year (12 months) of supervisory experience in higher education, student services, or closely related setting.
- Outlook, Excel, and Word and other computer programs.

Step Illinois Residency Requirement:
Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
