At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare, well-being benefits, paid family leave as well as generous paid time off. Total Rewards also include banking perks, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K plan with company match and may include the opportunity to participate in our Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation plan. Salary Range:
$50,200 annually + variable compensation package
Location Requirement:
This position supports our Rockford and Northern Region, including Lee County, and requires candidates to reside in or be willing to regularly work within this market. Position Summary This position performs a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals. Meet standards and objectives defined by management for personal mortgage loan sales and cross-selling objectives. Assume overall responsibility for the residential mortgage loan from application to closing on personal production. In addition, responsible for overall production of the team and the day-to-day management of each Loan Originator (LO). Effectively partner with fulfillment Operations to drive closed volume. This position is a leadership role. Primary Accountabilities People Manages a team of professionals in a customer-centric culture to excel in a fast-paced environment. Coaches, develops, and conducts performance management activities with direct and indirect reports. Identifies high-potential employees for advanced training and development opportunities. Effectively manages poor performers. Manages a team of at least 1 Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) or Jr. Mortgage Loan Originator. Relationship Management and Sales Development Develops and nurtures relationships with referral sources to generate new business opportunities. Cultivates a sales-focused culture within the team and contributes to the development of effective marketing strategies. Fosters a culture of compliance and ethical sales practices.
