This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing divisional accounting procedures and controls and directing the activities of the operational accounting staff toward the achievement of division objectives, supporting all functional areas with professionally produced information, in a timely manner, consistent with the highest standards of the profession. Essential Functions of the role include but are not limited to: Oversee Plant Accountants cost analysis activities for the Truck Division. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures for the Division as the need is anticipated or arises. Audit compliance to established procedures for internal control. Prepare periodic financial reports and analyses on both a routine and special request basis, meeting established deadlines. e.g., Results of Operations, Forecast of Operations, Division Staff Financial Package. Develop and set annual raw material, labor, and overhead cost standards along with maintaining these throughout the year. Complete analysis of variance from standard. Completion of all Corporate reporting requirements, i.e., payroll, pension, all insurance, tax info, quarterly data, etc. Support new & current product teams as the financial representative, developing cost models, make vs buy analysis, capital expenditure requests, etc. Conduct capital expenditure justification reviews. Miscellaneous duties including coordination of annual audits by internal & external auditors, coordination with IT to maintain or upgrade the QAD system; maintain internal control procedures; participation in annual business planning process; ongoing coordination with Corporate and Staff; development and training of subordinates. Perform periodic inventory reevaluations. Continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. 9 years of varied accounting experience. Experience in supervision with strong leadership skills. Experience in general accounting operations. Costing and analysis experience. Solid PC skills. Minimal exposure to R D lab and manufacturing setting. High standard of integrity. Ability to work with all levels of an organization. High energy level and strong self-motivation. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This pay range is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
