Accounting Manager Amalgamated Management Corporation - 4.4 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Full-time 6 hours ago Qualifications Management Financial analysis Hiring Supervising experience Bachelor's degree Managing accounting teams Recruiting Organizational skills Accounting and finance experience Financial compliance Full Job Description The Accounting Manager position is responsible for managing entire professional level accounting functions and the preparation of reports including earnings, profits/losses, cash balances, and cost accounting. Position is also accountable for all recurring accounts audits. Responsibilities Verifies accurate and timely monthly financial reports, including tax and audit backup. Advises the Controller on effective resource usage and capital management. Interprets accounts and records for the Controller. Manages accounting staff, including paraprofessional and clerical personnel. Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred Develop and maintain budgeting systems to control expenditures related to various activities. Recommends financial plans and policies with the Controller. Plans and directs accounting operations. Implement procedures for tracking work, preparing records and reports, and keeping management informed. Establishes policies to improve accounting efficiency. Ensures compliance with company policies among direct reports. Participates in studies of economic conditions in specific industries. May recruit, hire, train, evaluate, promote, transfer, or discipline staff. Demonstrates initiative and interpersonal skills to achieve accurate results within deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher education in accounting with knowledge and experience of accounting practices Minimum of eight to ten years in accounting with progressive supervisory experience Must know and understand accounting compliance and accounting practices and policies Attention to detail with great organizational skills Capable of performing duties with limited supervision Imperative ability to meet deadlines
