Job Summary Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) is looking for a candidate to fill the role of Finance Controller. The ideal person will be responsible for strategic financial leadership while managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. This role will ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, effective internal controls, accurate reporting, and long term financial sustainability across the organization, its coalitions, affiliates, and funded agencies. The position partners closely with executive leadership, program directors, grant administration, and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Oversee accounting departments, budget presentations, and audit functions. Analyze company operations to pinpoint opportunities and areas that need reorganization, downsize, or eliminated. Coordinate and track all contracts and grant allocations. Oversees and validates all monthly budget reports. Reconcile all accounts and prepare month end. Summarize financial status, Maintain Charts of Accounts (COA), and utilize accounting software. Assist with management of accounting, auditing and budgeting within the for-profit and non-profit organization, and its coalition and its affiliates. Works with COO and Human Resources Director in payroll processes. Maintain a high level of confidentiality to protect the company's information and value. Other job related duties as required and assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance , Business Administration, or related field (Masters degree preferred). CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certifications strongly preferred. Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, accounting management, and compliance with non-profit, for-profit, or hybrid organizations. Demonstrated experience with grant management, audits, budgeting, an financial systems implementation. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills with he ability to work across multiple organizational levels. Required Skills Advanced knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial compliance requirements. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Proven problem-solving abilities with a demonstrated capacity to evaluate issues, develop effective solutions, and implement process improvements. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliations. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functions and data analysis tools. •Position may require evenings and/or weekend meetings.
Pay:
