Job Description

Accounting Manager We are seeking a fast-paced detail-oriented Accounting Manger to lead day-to-day accounting operations and a small finance team. This key position owns accurate financial reporting, account reconciliations, general ledger integrity, intercompany allocations, and state sales tax filings. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage, coach, and hold accountable a team of 2-3 employees across billing, AP/AR, and clerical functions while keeping the close on schedule and the books clean. A strong command of GAAP and proven team management experience are essential. Must have a strong understanding of technical accounting and JE structure. Must fully understand how journal entries work and be able to spot errors and make corrections in a high volume fast paced environment. If you cannot juggle multiple priorities at the same time with tight deadlines, don't bother applying, this is not for the timid.
Compensation & Benefits Compensation:
$60,000-$70,000 annually, based on experience Benefits include: 401(k) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Paid Time Off Employee Discounts Employee Assistance Program Professional Development Support Key Responsibilities Own the monthly close, including journal entries for payroll, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets, delivered accurately and on time Prepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations Lead, coach, and develop a small accounting team, setting clear expectations and accountability Follow all company procedures to meet state guidelines with strict timing requirements Daily bank reconciliation and cash flow management File state sales tax returns and ensure compliance with reporting requirements Generate weekly reporting for leadership, and attend weekly leadership meeting Identify and implement opportunities to automate accounting tasks and improve efficiency Maintain and enforce internal accounting policies, procedures, and controls Cross-train team members across accounting functions to ensure operational continuity Support special projects and company-wide accounting initiatives Skills & Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with solid, demonstrable GAAP knowledge 1-2 years of team leadership or management experience, including coaching and developing staff Experience owning a monthly close and balance sheet reconciliations Experience with state sales tax filings Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a team-oriented environment Ability to work independently and meet time-sensitive deadlines Education & Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with Google Workspace a plus If you're a reliable, driven accounting leader who takes ownership of the numbers and develops the people around you, we encourage you to apply today.
