Job Description:

Provides overall leadership and support to Senior Accountants and Accountants to ensure they perform all accounting activities within the department. Manages period end close activities for corporate business units and allocation to all business units. Monitors and reviews the reconciliation of transactions between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, including accounts payable, inventory, payroll, and revenue, and guides the team in making appropriate adjustments. Ensures compliance with company accounting policies and accounting standards, and proposes new polices or changes to existing policies to enforce standardization and efficiency. Assists with training development and delivery for end users on all accounting activities. Coordinates and liaises closely with other teams and leadership, facility finance and materials management leadership, and Corporate Finance. Supports internal and external audit activities. Responsible for the establishment and effectiveness of internal controls. Monitors accounting service level agreement performance, researches noncompliance instances, and remedies processes and procedures to correct instances of noncompliance. Leads and supports continuous improvement processes within accounting, including analyzing metrics and identifying needed system modifications and process changes.
