Job DescriptionJob Description Good Works Talent is helping our global enterprise client identify a high-impact Trade Accounting Manager to join a sophisticated finance and controllership organization supporting commodity trading, inventory accounting, and operational financial reporting activities. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead the month-end accounting close process related to derivative and inventory trading activities Provide financial analysis and insight into key business drivers and operational performance Strengthen reconciliations, controls, and reporting integrity across the accounting function Partner cross-functionally with finance, commercial, and operational stakeholders Drive automation and process improvement initiatives leveraging technology, analytics, and AI-enabled tools Coach and develop accounting talent while helping elevate team capability and ownership Improve reporting transparency, efficiency, and decision support capabilities What Makes This Opportunity Different This is not a transactional accounting management role. Background We'd Like to See Accounting, finance, or related experience supporting complex financial operations Experience leading or developing teams Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, cross-functional business environments Process improvement mindset with interest in automation and technology enablement Especially Attractive Backgrounds Include Commodity, inventory, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, or trading-related accounting experience Knowledge of derivative accounting and US GAAP Experience with tools such as OneStream, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar analytics/reporting platforms Exposure to transformation, automation, or systems implementation initiatives Strong analytical and business partnership capability Location & Work Environment Wichita, Kansas Flexible/hybrid work structure Relocation assistance considered for the right long-term fit Compensation Expected base salary range is $130,000-$160,000, with flexibility for candidates who bring strong trade accounting, derivative/inventory accounting, leadership, and transformation experience.
