Accounting Manager

is seeking an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Manager supports the month-end close process, account reconciliation review, general ledger maintenance, maintaining effective financial controls and assists with audits and compliance reporting. The Accounting Manager serves as a key contributor to the finance team, bringing a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to manage a growing accounting team. This position is based in Massachusetts and requires presence on-site three days per week. The base salary range for this position is $140,000-150,000 plus a comprehensive compensation package. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Month-End Close Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes Review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Review monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion. Review and analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Reporting & Analysis Prepare and review financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual). Support financial audits and compliance initiatives. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements Partner with Finance to ensure operational performance reporting to leadership. Partner with Finance in the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning (LRP) activities. Leadership & Collaboration Mentor and manage accounting staff Lead process improvement initiatives and support training on revised procedures. Develop and maintain internal controls Improve accounting systems and processes for efficiency

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 6+ years of experience in general accounting (manufacturing or pharma experience preferred). Strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred). Strong and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
