Job Description

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join a growing organization in Leominster, Massachusetts on a Contract to Permanent basis. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting specialist who enjoys working in a small to midsized business environment and can bring structure, responsiveness, and strong financial oversight to a busy team. The position offers the opportunity to support core accounting operations, strengthen reporting processes, and contribute to a business experiencing continued expansion.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly close process, ensuring the general ledger is accurate, complete, and finalized on schedule.
  • Oversee daily cash activity and help maintain reliable visibility into company liquidity and short-term financial needs.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and prepare journal entries to support clean financial records.
  • Provide accounting support related to operational costing and help improve the accuracy of financial data tied to inventory and production.
  • Assist with payroll processing as needed by serving as backup coverage to maintain continuity within the finance function.
  • Handle sales tax responsibilities, including reviewing obligations, preparing filings, and helping ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen accounting procedures and introduce practical system-driven efficiencies, including reporting and automation improvements.
