Accounting Manager

Description Our client, a growing public BioTech company in Marlborough, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, NetSuite expertise, and public company experience to make an impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities + Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. + Manage general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries. + Support preparation of internal and external financial statements and related disclosures. + Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance procedures. + Partner cross-functionally with FP& A, operations, and executive leadership to support business initiatives. + Assist with audit coordination and ensure compliance with public company reporting requirements. + Drive process improvements and help optimize workflows within NetSuite. + Supervise and mentor accounting staff as needed. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibilities. + Prior experience working in a publicly traded company environment is required. + Strong experience with NetSuite is required. Oracle NetSuite is listed as a relevant finance and accounting software platform. + BioTech, life sciences, or healthcare industry experience is preferred. + Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls. + CPA or CPA-track preferred. + Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
