This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can oversee close activities, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to reliable financial reporting. The role offers the opportunity to work across general ledger functions while partnering on key accounting deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Lead the monthly closing process to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.
Prepare and record journal entries that support routine transactions, adjustments, and period-end reporting.
Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet and general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Assist in producing financial statements and help maintain the accuracy of supporting schedules.
Review accounting data for completeness and consistency to support internal reporting needs.
Partner with team members on audit-related requests by organizing documentation and explaining account activity.
Handle additional accounting assignments and operational support tasks as needed to meet departmental goals. Requirements
Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities in an accounting environment.
Strong working knowledge of general ledger processes and account maintenance.
Hands-on ability to prepare and post journal entries with a high degree of accuracy.
Experience completing account reconciliations and investigating variances.
Familiarity with financial statement preparation and audit support activities.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet recurring deadlines.
