Salary:
$85,000-$90,000 per year Please note: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required for this role. We're a not-for-profit community agency dedicated to advancing racial, social, and economic justice. Through programs spanning early childhood education, workforce development, and housing, we deliver essential services to more than 32,000 individuals and families across Greater Boston and the South Shore. About the Role Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Manager leads the day-to-day operations of our fiscal office. You'll manage the General Ledger, oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable, and ensure every financial record complies with GAAP and grant regulations. Key Responsibilities Financial & Team Leadership:
Manage the fiscal office's daily operations, guide staff, and lead the month-end closing process.
Budgeting & Reporting:
Prepare monthly budget-versus-actual reports and analyze the results with program managers to control costs and maximize funding.
Compliance & Allocation:
Oversee payroll and cost allocations to ensure accurate distribution across contracts and budgets.
Grant Management:
Support the CFO in preparing budgets, reports, and applications for a range of funding sources and grants.
Policy Implementation:
Maintain and strengthen written fiscal policies, procedures, and accounting systems.
What You'll Bring Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required).
Experience:
5+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on knowledge of not-for-profit accounting, GAAP, and state/federal grant compliance.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and BlackBaud accounting software.

Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with strong communication and leadership abilities.
