Job Description

Portfolio ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead investment strategy and portfolio construction for our clients. The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing diversified portfolios, driving alpha through security selection and asset allocation, and overseeing risk, performance reporting, and client communications. The role requires deep investment management expertise, strong analytical skills, and experience with IPOs and capital markets.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement investment strategies and asset allocation plans aligned with client objectives and risk tolerances.

Manage day-to-day portfolio construction, security selection, and trade execution to achieve performance targets.

Conduct fundamental and quantitative research, financial modeling, and valuation analysis across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.

Lead due diligence and investment decision-making for primary and secondary market opportunities, including participation in IPOs and equity offerings.

Monitor portfolio risk metrics, ensure compliance with investment guidelines, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Prepare regular performance reports, attribution analyses, and investment commentary for clients and internal stakeholders.

Engage directly with clients and relationship teams to understand objectives, present portfolio updates, and tailor investment solutions.

Collaborate with trading, compliance, legal, and operations teams to ensure efficient execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Mentor and collaborate with junior investment staff to build analytical capabilities and support career development.

Stay informed of macroeconomic trends, market structure changes, and regulatory developments that impact investment opportunities and portfolio positioning.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.7+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, or buy-side research, with proven track record of managing portfolios and delivering results.

Demonstrated experience with IPOs, equity capital markets, and primary market participation.

Strong financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis skills; proficient with Excel and investment tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar).Deep knowledge of investment management principles, asset allocation, risk management, and compliance practices.

Excellent communication and client-facing skills with ability to present complex investment ideas clearly.

Professional certifications such as CFA or CAIA preferred.

Proven leadership and team collaboration skills, with experience mentoring junior investment professionals.

High ethical standards and commitment to fiduciary responsibilities.
