Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Develop and produce accounting reports, both routine and special needs, that will collect, disseminate and analyze classification of costs data to improve Company identification and correction of problems. Oversees the Payroll Department and the processing of tax payments.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
Supervise Payroll/Tax Administrator and Payroll Accountant(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage payroll processes to ensure accurate payments to staff. Provide oversight of posting accurate data in the accounting system. Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as needed/assigned to meet month close deadlines. Assist Controller with Month/Year end Financial Reporting. Responsible for all benefits census and audits, including ESOP, 401K, Health, etc. Responsible for corporate Workman's Comp Insurance calculations, reporting, and audits. Provides oversight to the contributions to the various retirement plans and voluntary benefits through the payroll system. Assist with Center Finance staff training and development, to include holding individual Finance staff accountable for performance and timeliness. Assist in the development, review and reliability of accounting data and reports used to support budget management and control at the Centers. Develop perpetual and requested special reports for finance based on accumulated data to provide timely and relevant analyses for decision-making. Learn various facets and aspects of Corporate Finance and perform backup functions for Corporate Contracts Accounting Director. Support Centers with Acumatica accounting system and Paycom payroll system. Provides supervision and evaluation of accounting staff as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related business field) preferred; year-for-year accounting experience may be substituted for formal degree. Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounting and/or related discipline. Analytically adept, computer literate with excellent spreadsheet proficiency, and excellent organizational and writing skills required. Experience with computerized accounting systems is desired.
