Job Description:

Role Overview Oue client is seeking an onsite, fractional Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to step in and take immediate ownership of core accounting functions. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, deep General Ledger experience, and the ability to operate independently in a multi-entity, project-driven environment. This is a true step-right-in opportunity with clear long-term growth potential. Key Responsibilities Own and execute the month-end close process , including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Maintain full responsibility for the General Ledger , ensuring accuracy, completeness, and GAAP compliance. Support and execute revenue recognition activities. Prepare and review financial statements across multiple entities and locations. Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations ; proactively resolve discrepancies. Support audit preparation , including schedules, documentation, and auditor requests.

Partner closely with Operations on:

Margin analysis WIP-style or project-based cost tracking Budget-to-actual performance analysis Provide hands-on guidance and informal leadership to accounting staff while retaining ownership of complex accounting matters. Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements within Acumatica and related systems. Qualifications Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting , financial reporting, and revenue recognition. Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-location organizations. Deep, hands-on General Ledger ownership . Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment. Comfortable balancing detailed execution with leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
