Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Position Summary A growing and innovative organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead key accounting and financial reporting functions. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support strategic business initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a process-improvement mindset. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements Ensure accuracy of balance sheet and income statement reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities Analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues Leadership & Team Management Supervise Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable functions Mentor, train, and develop accounting staff Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment Compliance & Audit Assist with internal and external audits Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls and procedures Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and workflows Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting capabilities Support ERP optimization and reporting automation initiatives Executive Support Prepare financial reports and analyses for senior leadership Collaborate with finance and operational leaders on strategic initiatives Support special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA designation preferred or required depending on experience 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems and accounting software Advanced Excel and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and leadership abilities Preferred Public accounting experience Experience in a fast-paced or high-growth environment Experience with ERP implementation or optimization Master's degree in Accounting or related field At Sanford Rose Associates - JFSPartners, we specialize in Finance & Accounting, Legal, and Information Technology recruitment, dedicated to helping professionals like you discover the perfect career opportunities.
