This is a key position within our company that reports directly to the Owner and is responsible for overseeing all accounting, administrative, and human resources functions. As a small business, we are looking for a hands-on professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of the company's day-to-day financial and office operations. This position does not supervise employees but serves as the central point of coordination for accounting, office administration, and HR-related activities. Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Management Manage all company accounting functions using QuickBooks Process accounts payable, including vendor invoice entry and payment processing Prepare customer invoices and manage billing functions Monitor accounts receivable and collections Maintain accurate general ledger records Prepare and post journal entries Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures Prepare financial reports for ownership Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and financial planning Coordinate with outside CPA regarding tax preparation and financial reporting Maintain organized accounting records and documentation Human Resources & Payroll Administration Coordinate employee onboarding and new hire paperwork Maintain employee personnel files and records Administer benefits and assist employees with HR-related questions Coordinate payroll processing and related reporting Track employee time off, certifications, and training records Assist with hiring and recruiting activities as needed Support compliance with employment-related policies and requirements Office Administration Manage general office operations and administrative functions Answer phones and assist customers, vendors, and employees as needed Maintain office supplies and vendor relationships Assist with customer service and project-related administrative support Maintain company records, licenses, and insurance documentation Support ownership with special projects and operational initiatives Help ensure efficient day-to-day office operations Qualifications Minimum 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience Strong QuickBooks experience required Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and general ledger accounting Experience preparing journal entries and completing month-end closings Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently Professional communication and interpersonal skills Experience in construction, HVAC, contracting, or a related industry is preferred Experience with payroll and human resources administration is a plus
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
