About the
Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires a strong command of Excel, including advanced formulas, to analyze financial performance and drive data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate will break down Profit & Loss (P&L) statements by location and route to assess profitability and support strategic planning. Additionally, they will develop proformas for bidding on new contracts, ensuring accurate financial projections.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting functions, including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis. Break down and analyze P&L statements by location and route to determine profitability. Utilize advanced Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling) to generate insights. Develop proformas and financial projections to support bids on new contracts. Work closely with operations and leadership to provide financial guidance. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in accounting (public experience ideal) CPA Preferred Advanced Excel skills (lookup functions, pivot tables, and complex formulas). Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data. Experience with P&L analysis and cost accounting preferred. Ability to work independently and communicate financial insights effectively.
