We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial strategy and analytics for modernization and innovation initiatives. This role will drive transformation through advanced financial modeling, digital reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The Manager will partner across functions to align financial planning with strategic investments in technology, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Finance Manager Essential Job Functions:
Lead financial strategy, modeling, and forecasting for modernization and innovation initiatives, including capital investments, automation, and process transformation projects. Develop and implement advanced financial dashboards, digital reporting tools, and analytics to enhance real-time decision-making and business visibility. Partner with engineering, operations, and business leaders to support strategic planning, budgeting, pricing models, and ROI analysis for innovation initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems integration, and data governance to ensure accuracy, scalability, and efficiency. Oversee financial performance tracking, variance analysis, and cost controls across multiple projects and portfolios. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to analysts while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support executive leadership with insights, scenario modeling, and recommendations tied to modernization strategy and long-term growth.
Finance Manager Requirements:
Bachelor's degree• in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive finance experience; Leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong background in financial modeling, cost accounting, GAAP, and capital investment analysis. Experience in manufacturing, defense, or highly regulated industries preferred. Proficiency with ERP and financial systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, IBM Cognos, Hyland OnBase) and advanced Excel/data analytics tools. Experience supporting digital transformation, automation, or system implementation initiatives is highly preferred. Familiarity with government contracting and DoD financial compliance is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
Location-Specific Requirements:
Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must possess a valid US Driver's License. Less than 10% travel required. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
