This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. Why you'll love this position: The Food and Nutrition Services Section administers the USDA Food Distribution Program and the followingUSDA Child Nutrition Programs:
National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, and the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. Under the NSLP, the After School Snack Program and Seamless Summer Option are also available. The programs are operated in public, non-public, and residential child care institutions. The goal of the Food and Nutrition Services Section is to providing safe food and technical assistance to ensure well balanced nutritious meals are served to the students of Missouri. Responsibilities- What you'll do What you'll do:
- Professional work in the implementation of the Child Nutrition Programs and initiatives related to these programs. Programs include, but are not limited to: School Breakfast Program, National School Lunch Program, Afterschool Snack Program, Seamless Summer Option, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, Special Milk Program, and Provisional Programs.
- Coordination of duties with Nutrition Finance Management personnel.
- Process and maintain internet based annual application agreements.
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations in the administration of the payment process.
- Monitor fiscal tracking of grants, including oversight of Fresh Fruit and Vegetable (FFVP) LEA grant funding and approval of monthly claims, and processing of amendment to claims for reimbursement.
- Preparation and submission of federal monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.
- Serve as a liaison with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) financial management staff.
- Coordinate with the Information Technology unit regarding technology maintenance and enhancements to the section's computer applications.
- LEA technical assistance in reconciliation food service account balances and approval of Financial Reports.

- All you need for success Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Food Science, Dietetics, or closely related field. OR
- Four years' experience in accounting, business administration, elementary/secondary education, government, policy, food service program management, Child Nutrition Programs, data analysis and management, or closely related experience, and possession of a high school diploma or equivalency.
