We're seeking a knowledgeable, experienced and service driven Finance Manager to lead the Agency's finance team and serve as a trusted financial advisor to our Executive Director, with direct visibility to the Board of Directors through financial reporting and budget presentations. This is a hands-on leadership role in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your expertise will shape the fiscal health of an agency doing meaningful work for Lane County. A typical qualifying combination includes:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field
- Five years of progressively responsible professional accounting and financial management experience, including at least two years of supervisory or lead experience
- Experience in governmental or public sector finance is strongly preferred
- Principles and practices of governmental financial administration, including fund accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Oregon Budget Law and applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing public agency finance and accounting
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for governmental entities, GASB standards, and GFOA recommended practices
- Payroll principles and practices, including PERS program administration, federal and state payroll tax requirements, and related compliance obligations
- Grant administration principles and requirements for federal, state, and local grant programs
- Plan, organize, and administer the finance function of a public agency, exercising independent judgment and broad functional coverage.
