JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for leading a team of mortgage closers that prepare and approve the final figures and documents needed for closing mortgage loans. Communicates with appropriate parties to ensure all loans close in accordance with bank, investor, and regulatory guidelines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as the subject matter expert to the department on all loan products and processes. Researches and resolves complex Mortgage issues and serves as a resource to team members on escalated issues of a complex nature. Work closely with their Manager in the coordination of daily operational activities and workflow within the mortgage operations department. Participates in various supervisory functions including staff training, input for performance development and performance evaluations, procedure development and review, and risk identification/mitigation. Assists Manager in implementing effective workflows and controls, identifying process efficiencies, implementing new mortgage regulations, and establishing and maintaining relationships within the business line and across multiple business lines to satisfy client requests and research and resolve potential issues. Performs Closing work on complex assignments; performs loan audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures; verifies accuracy of wires and releases monetary funds.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

High school graduate or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred 5+ years of experience in mortgage processing/closing Ability to use discretion, tact, and diplomacy when interacting with clients, co-workers, partners, and third party entities Professional appearance and attitude Attention to detail Organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Problem-solving & analytical ability Proficiency in word processing and written communication skills with the ability to proofread and edit Ability to read and interpret loan documents, agency, investor, and regulatory agency requirements Flexibility to assist at other locations as needed Working knowledge of spreadsheet softwareESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines Ability to travel Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
