Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMCS Communication LLC is seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to independently lead and manage the full accounting function of the organization. This role requires a self-directed professional capable of overseeing all financial operations, maintaining strong internal controls, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting without daily supervision. The Accounting Manager will serve as the primary financial lead within the company and will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all accounting processes. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting
  • Own and manage the full month-end and year-end close process
  • Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Maintain general ledger integrity
  • Perform and review all bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Oversee job costing and project-based accounting
  • Manage fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
  • Monitor and report on cash flow Payroll & Tax Compliance
  • Oversee payroll processing and payroll tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Manage workers' compensation reporting and audits
  • Coordinate with external CPA as needed Internal Controls & Risk Management
  • Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls
  • Oversee expense management and reimbursement compliance
  • Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions
  • Identify and correct process inefficiencies Banking & Financial Relationships
  • Serve as primary contact for banking relationships
  • Assist with loan reporting and financial documentation requests
  • Support insurance audits and compliance reporting Compliance & Regulatory Support
  • Assist with DOT-related financial compliance as needed
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in construction, telecommunications, or project-based industries preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar ERP)
  • Proven ability to manage accounting operations independently
  • Experience overseeing payroll and payroll tax compliance
  • Strong reconciliation and fixed asset management experience Required Competencies
