FELE. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Accounting Manager oversees daily financial operations, manages accounting personnel, and ensures the accuracy of financial records. This role leads the month-end closing process, enforces internal policies, maintains regulatory compliance, and provides critical audit and research support to safeguard company assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the accounting function, including managing the accounting clerks and their workloads. Completion of the monthly close process, including but not limited to implementation of policies and procedures. Oversee the daily operation of accounting processing, including deposits, accounts payable & inventory costing. Makes journal entries and prepares account reconciliations. Accumulates and maintains audit support for internal and external auditors. Research complex transactions and prepares documentation outlining issues and conclusions. Responsible for insuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise accounting clerks, utilizing Human Resources; trains employees, manages workloads, disciplines employees, addresses complaints and resolves problems.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Abilities Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to document transactions precisely Detail-oriented with analytic comprehension High level of integrity and appropriate handling of confidential information required Handles multiple tasks concurrently Works effectively in a group as well as individually Writes routine reports and correspondence accurately Minimal travel (2-6 weeks per year) is required
Pay:
$62,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
