Full-time Job Summary:
The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for assisting customers with securing financing options for vehicle purchases, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maximizing dealership profitability through the sale of finance and insurance products.
Key Responsibilities:
Present and explain financing and leasing options to customers. Process credit applications, obtain credit reports, and secure approvals from lenders. Structure deals in compliance with lender and dealership guidelines. Sell finance and insurance products such as extended warranties, GAP insurance, and maintenance packages. Prepare and finalize all paperwork related to vehicle sales and financing. Maintain knowledge of current lender programs, interest rates, and financial regulations. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, privacy laws). Collaborate with the sales team to support vehicle sales and customer satisfaction. Track finance and insurance performance metrics and report to management. Assist in training sales staff on finance and insurance offerings.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in automotive finance or sales preferred. Strong understanding of automotive lending, credit evaluation, and F&I products. Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficient in dealership management systems (DMS) and finance tools.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced dealership environment. Weekend and evening availability may be required. Interaction with customers, sales team, lenders, and finance institutions.
