We are looking for a skilled and motivated Accounting Manager to join our finance team at Havenwood Heritage Heights. For over 50 years, Havenwood Heritage Heights, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Concord, New Hampshire, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 62+ by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. The ideal candidate will be a skilled accountant who can communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, be a leader who leads by example and collaborates effectively. Work Schedule This is a full-time, salaried position regularly scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. As a member of the Finance team, the Accounting Manager is expected to maintain a flexible schedule and be available to work additional hours as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the Finance Department.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage general accounting functions, journal entries, accounts payable, and reconciliations. Supervise 2 staff members Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with financial standards. Prepare labor and cost reporting Administer payroll or willing to learn payroll Lead and participate in projects involving updated and new software implementations Collaborate with department leaders to support organizational goals and financial performance
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in a professional accounting environment Strong foundation in accounting theory and general management principles. Advanced skills in computerized software including Paylocity, Kronos, Paycom, Point Click Care. Experience with software implementation a plus. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Demonstratable, high-level functionality of Excel Strong organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment to keep the day to day operations running smoothly Positive attitude and commitment to being a supportive team player
