We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for our operating and real estate companies. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and closings while working closely with the VP of Finance, senior management, and other departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Full Time - Mon through Fri Competitive compensation package offered based on experience, skills, and qualifications .
Duties:
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and consolidation process for all companies Prepare and deliver timely and accurate periodic financial reports including maintaining monthly analysis, KPI reporting, and forecasting spreadsheets Serve as the primary liaison with external CPA firms, insurance agencies, and other third parties to coordinate financial reviews, audits, insurance matters, and the preparation of tax returns. Oversight of payroll processing for all companies Collaborate with VP of Finance and other senior management on preparation of analytical data to drive business decisions Manage company's real estate accounting activities including CAM and real estate tax reconciliations Work with VP of Finance and senior management to manage the company's insurance policies. Oversee, manage, and mentor the intercompany accounting team, including workload management, staff development, and process improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Prepare, maintain, and file required state and local regulatory and other tax filings Continue efforts to document internal accounting processes
Requirements:
10+ years accounting experience with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or management role. Experience with multi-company operations with intercompany billings and receivables is required. Transportation industry and real estate accounting experience is a plus CPA or CMA a plus Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus but not required Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills required SQL, FileMaker, and database skills a plus Exposure to financial AI uses a plus Benefits for
