This position serves as the first line of data integrity support for the company's Finance and Operations teams. This role will develop and maintain proficiency in the Aspen Canopy database, and a strong aptitude for self-directed, on-the-job learning. Below are current expectations of the job and they are subject to revision as implementation proceeds, The role will report to the Controller. The backup will be the Assistant Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a data master; provide support to Accounting, Finance, Operations and Sales. Accurately and efficiently collect data exported from Aspen Canopy ERP / database and import into Excel based templates. Assist in preparation of annual budget, periodic forecasts, long-term financial projections. Reconcile data between general ledger and tracking worksheets. Respond to queries for financial and cost information needed for analysis by others. Respond to queries for data from 3rd parties (finance, bank, insurance auditors) Assist in preparation of periodic financial reports and develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators. Conduct market and competitive research to support financing planning and benchmarking. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Extremely accurate and detail oriented. Expert Excel skills, including tools like Power Query and Power Pivot. Ability to juggle multiple priorities. Self-motivated and curious. Commitment to meeting recurring deadlines (weekly, monthly, quarterly). Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal. Ease in learning new software. Cross-department team player. Comfortable with mandated 5 days in office work schedule
Education/Training:
BS or BA - Accounting, Finance, Economics or 5-year equivalent experience in financial data position.
Related Experience/Requirements:
History of independently developing models, gather data, and execute queries. Previous success within team environment.
