Job Description:
The SR Manager/Manager of Accounting will be responsible for leading day to day accounting and finance functions. This position is responsible for a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger, month end close, financial planning & reporting, year-end audit preparation, compliance, working in conjunction with external audit firm and related activities, expense management and decision support.
R esponsibilities:
  • Responsible for all company financial matters. This includes maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Ensure that appropriate controls and procedures are in place for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Utilize existing accounting systems to automate processes and reporting where appropriate.
  • Interfacing with leadership to collect and explain financial data and financial implications of operating decisions
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed work-papers in connection with year-end income tax basis financial statements and tax returns.
  • Reconcile payroll and operating accounts.
  • Analyzing variances, trends and proactively communicating with external audit firm and corporate decision makers
  • Annual capital and operating budgeting; proactive planning with senior leadership
  • Planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions and allocating resources effectively
  • Serve as the company compliance officer as it relates to taxes, employment guidelines and laws
  • Gross to Net Calculations and Analysis Our Ideal candidate:
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting requirements
  • Strong organization, coordination and planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and SAP
  • BS/BA Accounting
CPA A MUST
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Capable of reviewing, editing as well as creating new processes and procedures Skills and abilities:
  • Ability to drive change and optimization through system integrations and avoidance/ minimization of inefficiencies created through non-value-added task repetition
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
