$90k - $110k
Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Certified Financial Planner role based in New York, NY. The Certified Financial Planner will serve as an internal resource for Kingswood's advisor network, providing expert financial planning support on an as-needed basis. Rather than managing client relationships directly, the CFP will work behind the scenes - conducting detailed financial analyses, developing planning recommendations, and implementing agreed-upon strategies in coordination with advisors and internal teams. Responsibilities include portfolio monitoring, adjusting strategies in response to market conditions and regulatory changes, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring adherence to compliance and fiduciary standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory role Strong foundation in Financial Planning and Finance, with the ability to analyze complex financial situations and develop tailored strategies Demonstrated expertise in Personal Financial Planning and Retirement Planning, including income planning, asset allocation, and risk management for individuals and families Current Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or clear path toward obtaining CFP certification within an agreed-upon timeframe Proficiency with financial planning software, portfolio analysis tools, and CRM systems, as well as solid Excel and data analysis skills Thorough understanding of investment products, tax considerations, and relevant regulations; prior experience in wealth management or financial advisory preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple engagements with attention to detail and deadlines
