Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of all ETB Holdings business entities. In addition to KPI analytics, all general ledger account reconciliations as required, Entity consolidation and Year end audit participation.
  • The Group Headquartered in France and other accounting departments within the America's Region,
  • The America's Region business heads,
  • The US Independent Accountants for Audit and Tax purposes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Oversee the daily accounting activities required to maintain each entity's general ledger in 'Cargowise', the company's financial accounting and operations system.
  • Supervises, directs, and reviews the daily work of the accounting staff including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash application, Intercompany transactions, payroll (backup), debt activity, accrual entries, various checks and balances to subsystems, etc.
  • Daily Cash management of all entities and Bank accounts, as well as intercompany transactions with weekly balance settlements.
  • Maintains organized shared file of reconciliations and general accounting data for each entity
  • Update and maintain Fixed Asset schedules as needed.
  • Resolve complex accounting issues or assist operations with resolution of financially impactful issues such as customer credits, expense line-item detail, revenue recognition, etc.
  • Review and close the general ledger for each entity monthly, update flash financial reports, including notes regarding significant variances and issue results to the appropriate individuals within the company.
  • Assist external tax partners with tax return filing where needed.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable issues.
  • Ensure payroll is recorded accurately and on a timely basis
  • Prepare quarterly consolidation of the America's region, in addition to annual Year End closing activities.
  • Assist in the Coordination and completion of Budgeting, Forecasting and annual audits
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
  • Support the finance department with special projects and workflow process improvements.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned or required.
Education/Experience:
Five years of accounting experience with at least two years managing relevant processes and/or staff. Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
